Police book two for stealing mobile phone at Udupi railway station

Udupi, Feb 26: Police and railway police have arrested two people in connection with stealing a mobile phone at the city railway station.

The police have arrested Shabuddin and Tanvir Alam of Bihar.

It is said that Pinto Paul (35) of Raigad had arrived to Udupi railway station on February 26 morning from Mumbai in Mathsyagandha express.

He had kept his POCO M2 Pro mobile for charge at platform No.1 of Udupi railway station. Unfortunately, two people stole the mobile phone at around 7 am and fled from the spot.

The police and railway police who were in the spot produced the accused to Manipal police station along with the stolen mobile phone. Police have booked the accused under 379 and 34 of IPC sections.
