Bantwal, Feb 26: Bantwal mandala BJP staged protests near B C Road flyover on Feb 26 condemning the anti people policies of the Congress.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu said that between Rs 80 lacs to Rs one crore are being spent on a Vidhan Sabha session. “People have elected me MLA and sent to Vidhana Mandala to find solutions for their problems. Congress party did not allow any discussions in the current session. I condemn it. They interrupted the speech of the chief minister over discussions of the governor and forced to postpone the session. Congress party is trying to hide its setback in the Hijab controversy. Congress is destroyed in the state and it will be like a kite in the next elections,” he said.

Congress has bit dust:

Keonics president Harikrishna Bantwal said that Congress is misleading people by putting forth the subject of Hijab and national flag. “This protest is held to uncover their mask. Congress which got killed six people who had gone to hoist national flag at Idga maidan, Hubballi does not have moral right to speak about the national flag. While Congress party legal division advocates argued regarding the Hijab controversy in the court, the mask of the party is exposed,” he said.

“While education is the first priority, religion should be the second priority for students. Students should concentrate on their studies to be noble citizens of the country,” he said.

He condemned the rowdy attitude of KPCC president D K Shivakumar in the Vidhan Mandala session and said that India can never be islamised.

Bantwal Mandal BJP president Devappa Poojary presided over the protests. Homage and silent prayer was offered to Bhajrang Dal activist Harsha who was murdered in Shivamogga.

Former MLA Padmanabha Kothari, KUWC director Sulochana G K Bhat, BJP district chief secretary Ramadas Bantwal, Buda president Devadas Shetty, Bhoo Bank vice president Chandrashekar Bangera, Mahila morcha president Bharathi Shetty, District panchayat former member Tungappa Bangera, Kamalakshi Poojary, municipal council member Govinda Prabhu Hariprasad, party’s Monappa Devasya, Ramanath Rai, Dinesh Umtoor, Ganesh Rai Mani, Purushotham Shetty Vamadapadav, Keshava Daipala, Janardhan Bondala, Sandesh Shetty, Seema Madhava and Harshini were present.
