Prohibitory orders extended in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Feb 26: Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar has passed an order, extending the prohibitory orders currently prevailing around the schools and colleges of around 200 meter radius of all high schools under police commissionerate limits from February 28 at 6 am to March 5 at 6 pm.

This measure has been resorted to in view of the continuance of the Hijab-saffron shawls controversy.

The decision has been taken in order to maintain law and order in the city.
