Bengaluru, Feb 27: The National Vaccination Day is being celebrated throughout Karnataka on February 27. Every year polio vaccination drive is held all over the state with a mission of eradicating the disease completely.
The health department has made elaborate preparations to distribute pulse polio drops to 64.77 lac children below the age of five years.
As many as 33,223 booths have been set up throughout the state. House visits will be carried out by 45933 teams. In addition, there are 960 mobile teams, 1942 transit teams, 10,8881 vaccination workers and 7,138 supervisors who will participate in the programme.
