Beltangady: Fallen stack of laterite stones causes death of child

Beltangady, Mar 1: In a tragic incident which was reported from Baytaru in Tannirpanth village in the taluk on Monday February 28, a three and half years old baby boy was killed after a stack of laterite stones crashed on him.

The victim of this incident was Mohammad Nausheer, son of Ashraf and Sameema couple. For undertaking some construction, laterite stones had been stacked in the courtyard of the couple's home. Nausheer was playing near this stack when it came crashing on the boy.

The family members went in search of the boy after noticing that he was not to be seen in the courtyard. They found that he had got stuck under the weight of the laterite stones, suffered serious injuries, and died on the spot.

The boy has left behind parents and two sisters.
