Kundapur: Byndoor MLA donates Rs one lac to family of late Prashant Devadiga

Kundapur, Mar 3: MLA of Byndoor constituency B M Sukumar Shetty donated Rs one lac from his personal funds to the family of Saukoor resident Prashant Devadiga, who died of electrocution while installing good wishes banner for Saukoor car festival on February 25.

MLA Shetty visited the residence of late Prashant, handed over the cheque and consoled the family members. Speaking on the occasion Shetty said that Prashant was an old student of BB Hegde College and was the pillar of his family. This is an unfortunate incident and he is extremely pained him.

Members of management committee Shekhar Poojary Gulvadi, Subbanna Shetty Kenchanur, Kuppa Saukoor, Jayarama Shetty Hadali, Asha Santhosh Poojary, Reetha Devadiga Saukoor, Ranjit Poojary Karki, president of BJP Gulvadi Shakti Kendra Surendra Shetty Gulvadk, president of Devadiga social service association Nagaraja Rayappanamata, secretary Udaya Devadiga, locals Gopal Devadiga, eminent personalities like Sanjeeva Devadiga Tallur, Rajeeva Shetty Hattiangadi, Narayana Naika Neralakatte and others were present.

N Manjaiah Shetty Sablady, president of management committee of Saukooru Sri Durgaparameshwari temple handed over a cheque for Rs 15,000 to the family of late Prashant.
