Udupi, Apr 19: Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has challenged Dingaleshwara Swamiji to prove his allegation of 30% commission demand by BJP government ministers while releasing grants to Maths.

Poojary said, “If there are specific incidents, let the seer come out in the open and disclose. Subject me as well as the officials of the department to investigation. I am ready."

The government has issued an order during April first week to release Rs 119 crore to 65 maths in the state. However, so far not a single rupee has been released. None of the grants goes directly to temples. It is used for the development works of the temple. If the proper documents are not produced, the grant is not released.

“The department concerned studies the DPR (Detailed Project Report), verifies the document and then releases the amount. Let Dingaleshwara Swamiji mention clearly about the work for which commission was given and to whom. If the accusation is true, I will take stringent action. This reaction of mine is not applicable to only Swamiji but to all commoners. We are not supposed to answer for the statements given by sages and saints."

“Our BJP government has curtailed the anti-social elements in the society. The leaders of the centre and state will give a new form to the state cabinet during the net expansion. CM Bommai is giving transparent governance without any hesitation. He is not leaving any opportunity for corruption.”
