Bengaluru, Apr 24: BJP is gearing up for the next assembly elections in Karnataka. It has come up with a plan to ensure that the schemes of the union and state governments have reached the doorstep of commoners or not.
State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that ‘Vistharaks’ had been nominated for this work and they will visit every household and give a report on whether the schemes have reached the commoners or not.
“Right now, the number of workers at booth level has increased. Six people have been nominated for one page. In addition, the page pramukhs also have been nominated. The root strength of the BJP are its booth presidents. They are the links to the page committees also. In order to encourage them, the MLAs have gone personally to the house of the booth presidents and installed name boards and hoisted the flag of the party on their residences. This work is almost complete,” said Nalin.
Nalin further said, “In addition, page committees are given the responsibility of making surveys of our party situation vis-a-vis JD (S) and Congress in every constituency. The team will reach Hubballi on April 26 and 27 and the tour will end there.
“Three divisions have been made to assess the functioning style of the government. We have received a very good response. In the state executive conference that was held at Hospet, two important decisions were taken. Raitha Vidhyanidhi and Amritha schemes wwere announced on account of the 75th independence year of the country," he added.
“Bulldozer law is required to control the hooligans who create unrest in the state and vandalize public property. Stringent action should be taken against such people. The work of demoralizing the police and government forces is equal to terrorism. We will urge the CM to bring in the Bulldozer law. There are stringent laws to control unrest in states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.”
