Bengaluru, Apr 25: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that leaders of various parties in the old Mysuru region are in touch with him and chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai.
Nalin was speaking to the media after holding BJP core committee meeting of northern Karnataka districts. He further said, “Many will join BJP during next assembly elections. There are many winning candidates in BJP. That is why we are not eager to take outsiders.
“We are scrutinizing everything. The decision which we will take will be brought to the notice of party high brasses. There is no guarantee that Amit Shah will arrive while taking outsiders into our party. We will welcome outsiders in the presence of CM Bommai. We will take permission from national leaders. Many leaders of various parties are in touch with me. We will introspect before taking anyone.”
When asked about the statement of Brahmananda Saraswati Swamiji at Bhatkal asking BJP to give 50 constituencies to Swamijis, Nalin said, “Brahmananda Swamiji is our Guru. I have lots of respect on him. I do not know what he has spoken about politics. I will ask him about his statement.”
“Musical chair has begun in the Congress party. Towards October, it will break into two. Lotus will bloom in between these halves,” said Nalin.
