Mangaluru, Apr 28: Akhila Bharath Hindu Mahasabha demanded dismissal of police inspector Sandesh and three other police personnel from service, who allegedly assaulted 3 Hindu youths at Bajpe police station.

State general secretary Akhila Bharath Hindu Mahasabha Dharmendra Pradhan conducted press meet in this connection on Thursday April 28. He said, “Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said that the cops have been suspended. According to me, suspension is only for the time being. They will conduct a usual probe and later transfer the cops to some other police station to continue their duties.

“If a common man assault another, cops will file all necessary IPC sections against the accused. But when the police indulges in such activity, why are the same sections not imposed?

“We demand to impose section 307 against the cops and dismiss them from their duties.

“Former MLA Mohiuddin Bava has urged the police department to revoke the suspension. This shows Congress stand on Hindutva. Congress and BJP are two faces of the same coin.

“Why is the BJP government silent today when Hindus are assaulted? If Congress government was in power, the BJP would have protested and Nalin Kumar Kateel would have repeated his statement of setting the district on fire,” he said.

District president Pramod Ucchila, Bantwal president Adyar Harsha Nayak, and district convenor Shivprasad Okkada were present.

Since this "Akhila Bharath Hindu Mahasabha demanded dismissal of police inspector Sandesh and three other police personnel from service, who allegedly assaulted 3 Hindu youths at Bajpe police station" involved in this issue, I feel that the Police inspector and the other police have taken a correct action for sure by watching the recent developments in D.K and Udupi.
