Udupi, Apr 29: “We want Godse ideology in order to provide justice to Hindutva and not the ideology preached by Mahatma Gandhi,” said Dharmendra, state chief secretary of Hindu Mahasabha.
Dharmendra was speaking at the press conference that was organized at Ocean Pearl hotel in the city on Friday April 29. He further said, “Many Hindu activists are in prison. We will get them released in future. Their names will be known through RTI. We will give legal and financial assistance to their families.
“A person who was a weak home minister of Karnataka, has become chief minister now. Hindu activists are not protected under the BJP regime. We have to protect ourselves. Many BJP activists are favouring Hindu Mahasabha. We do not want appeasement politics. Hindus are looking at alternative politics.
“Does the corruption-free idea of Prime Minister Narendra Modi not applicable to BJP leaders in Karnataka? The number of root BJP members in the Karnataka cabinet is very less. The number of imported people from other political parties is more. That is why their traits will not change.
“We asked Hindus to keep weapons for self-protection. It is not to attack others. Hindu Mahasabha fought for Ayodhya. But BJP brought Lord Rama on the road. It is regretful that BJP does not propose Hindutva now.
“Law and order is totally destroyed in Karnataka. The government is totally non-existent. Though Hindu activists are assaulted in every nook and corner of the state, the government which assumed power in the name of Hindutva is silent.
“Congress does not utter a word against the 40% commission BJP government that is ruling in the state. Both Congress and BJP are equal in looting the public of the state.
“We have decided to contest in all the constituencies in the coming assembly elections and we are concentrating in that direction,” he said.
Ramakrishna Shetty, district president of Udupi, Harsha Nayak, president Bantwal, Pratap and Pramod Ucchila were present.
