Appreciate the wisdom of the opposition to have chosen their VP candidate after the official NDA announcement. Surely both the women Ms Murmu as President and Ms Alva as VP will do an excellent job. Hope all the opposition parties unite to get their candidate elected. There are no doubt few opposition parties working as the "B" team of the NDA.

In 2007 Shiv Sena had extended support to Prathiba Patil, when she contested presidential election. This way Maharashtrian showed their unity. This time, let us see if Karnataka politicians, extend their support to a Kannadiga VP nominee.

The Congress should have nominated and supported her candidature when they were in power. With the BJP in power at the center, it would be a miracle if she gets that coveted job.
