Bengaluru: Education department to seal unauthorised schools in state

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jul 24: Hundreds of new private schools and colleges open in Karnataka every year. Recently the education department had called for applications for approval of these institutions through an online process. The institutions have time till July 25 to apply for approval. More than 980 educational institutes have applied for approval. However, they have simultaneously admitted students. If the government does not approve them, then the future of students will be in jeopardy.

Education department has asked the authorised schools to approach the police and get the unauthorised schools, who have already admitted students in May and June, closed down.

The future of more than 30,000 students of 980 schools which are still not recognised by the government will be affected. Some schools might get the approval. But others will be denied owing to violation of rules laid down by the education department.

Without getting the education department’s approval, schools and colleges cannot be opened. If such institutes are noticed, then the parents of the students should get published the same in local newspapers. Any student, who has studied in an unauthorised school will not get seats in colleges of higher education. So their future will be affected.

In its order, the education department has asked CRP BRP and educational coordinators to raise complaints with the local police stations and get the unauthorised schools closed in order to protect the future of students from such institutes.

Instruction as been given to BEOs to announce the schools and colleges that are run without recognition as unlawful. Meanwhile, RUPSA president Lokesh has asked the education department to withdraw its order.

One of the School in BTM area in Bangalore doesn't have permission after 8th standard & they claim dey are open to teach 12th. 2 batches of 10th standard passed out without permission. Even BEO issued notice but no FIR or any action taken by education authority. Dey run IGCSE Syllabus with having state syllabus permission. Who is responsible and who will take any action. It's clear that BEO & DDPI is deep sleep or eaten Money??? Will the education ministry do something here ????

Also implement a strict rule on the schools which demand donations and making education a business. According to Section 13 (2) of Right to Education ACT (RTE-ACT) schools should be fined upto 10times. But still there are many schools collect and mandate donations. In USA most children go to public school because it is free. Indian gvt should think of offering quality education and improving Government schools and colleges. Most of the private schools and colleges were run by indian ministers so free education will never be implemented.

The timing of this announcement coincides with the Muslim institutions plan to open schools that allow women in hijab. The government is only interested in checkmating people, not working for welfare. They will first refuse accreditation to the minority institutions and if they still open, ,then punishment. Ooh, such a secret plan for BJP, like little children fighting over a toy. NaMoron should give them chaiwallah medals.
