Permanent Reconciliation Needed with Pak: PM

Mohali, March 31 (PTI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh tonight said India and Pakistan should put their "ancient animosities" behind them and a "permanent reconciliation" was required so that the two neighbours "live with dignity and honour".

Speaking at a dinner he hosted for his Pakistani counterpart Yusuf Raza Gilani during the India-Pakistan World Cup cricket semi final match here, Singh said the two countries "should be working together to find cooperative solutions and need permanent reconciliation to live together in dignity and honour".

"We should put our ancient animosities behind us to attend to the problems of our nations," he said.

Later, Singh told PTV that "whatever be the differences between our two countries, we have to find ways to resolve them".

A small step for cricket and truly a 'GIANT step ' for peace by Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh. The next step should be
to sign a no pact war with Pakistan which will be valid for the next 100 years. Whichever side breaks the Pact should have to pay the other country a penalty .The signed Pact should be kept in the possession of a third country and a common friend (Not the US , UK, France, Germany or China ) This penalty should be decided by a jury comprising the top lawyers of both the countries.
