Bengaluru, Jul 29: The Education department has directed schools to hold various competitions for students in wake of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence Day.
Instructions are given to hold programmes in all the government, aided, private primary and high schools as well as Madrasas.
The circular has asked the school heads to hold singing, essay writing, freedom struggle, costumes of freedom fighters and drawing national flag in order to instil patriotism in students. The schools are also instructed to distribute the prizes on Independence Day.
Commissioner of education department, in his circular to all schools and madrasas, has instructed to hold national flag painting and costume competition for students of grade one to three, patriotic song singing and speech competition for students of fourth and fifth grade, singing songs that creates national feeling, speech and essay competition on independent India for students of grade six to 10.
