Kundapur, Jul 29: “All are in pain. Root level workers of our party have expressed their anguish and rage. We have tried our best to make them understand the reality. I am confident that we will take everyone along unitedly. We will take precaution that such incidents are not repeated in future,” said minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Poojary spoke to the media on the murder of Bellare's BJP leader Praveen Nettaru and the developments after the incident in which BJP workers resigned en masse in many parts of twin districts and other districts also.
Poojary further said, “CM Bommai, home minister and the government is working together this time to crack the plot hatched. There is no other way to bring this situation under control. The aim is not to allow people who have this type of mentality to raise their ugly head."
“We will make the policing better. Take action without mercy on the incident that has taken place. It is not possible to elude the arms of law in these types of incidents. Do not pester me about what I should say. I will show it through my work. There is no other way than taking legal action in our system. What this means is none of the accused can escape.
“Within the framework of the Indian constitution, we will give punishment. It is unfortunate that communal forces are trying to strengthen violence by challenging law. We should bring under control those who say nationalism and Indianness. The mentality of eradicating those who propagate Hindutva is becoming stronger. We have assured that the government will work against this mentality. We will definitely do it.
“Paramesta’s parents are in touch with me even today. I will resolve their issues. As I am the district in charge minister, I need time. BJP workers are resigning en masse due to the pain that is inflicted in their minds because of the killing of Praveen Nettaru. Our workers have worked for our victory. We will take action on their words.”
Responding to the viral video of MP Tejasvi Surya, Poojary said, “When these kind of incidents happen, caste and religion are not important. Our aim is to punish the convict. I do not know what Tejasvi Surya said. After hearing the audio, I will respond.”
“Government is working as a team in order to control terrorism and religious fanatism. Government will not tolerate violence in any religion. We will take stringent action against anyone who is involved in anti-social activities,” said minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
