'Faith is beyond evidence': Anjanadri hills birth place of Lord Hanuman, says Bommai

Bengaluru, Aug 2 (IANS): Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said Anjaneya (Lord Hanuman) was born in Anjanadri Hills in the state's Koppal district, adding no evidence is needed beyond the historical faith over the last thousands of years.

This place has been known as the Kishkinda since mythological times, he said.

Speaking to mediapersons at Gangavati in Koppal, he said: "Controversial statements are being issued over Anjaneya's birth place. We have decided to develop Anjanadri as an international level pilgrim destination. There is no need for Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh to stake two different claims. People of the entire country have faith and belief about it."

"I had announced in my budget about comprehensive development of Anjanadri, the birthplace of Anjaneya. Thousands of people visit the place every year. We intend to create good facilities for the pilgrims and tourists," the Chief Minister said.

He further said: "We have provided Rs 100 crore for the purpose. Boarding, lodging, hospital and shopping facilities would be provided for the tourists. I have come on a spot visit to explore all the possibilities. We are even keen to build a rope way for the convenience of the elderly."

Officials have been instructed to invite tenders for the ropeway project.

"The master plan is ready. All the surrounding places also need to be developed. Orders have been issued to develop Mysuru and Hampi International Tourism Circuits," he said, adding: "We have reserved Rs 24 crore for land acquisition, and the process would be started soon."

I say only onething.Believe the religion which you want to and lead your life as you want like. But dont do one thing.Thats in the name of religion, dont enrich yourself, dont harm and hate . other religion believers.Respect other religious people .Dont say only your religion is true ,others is fake. When you believe and act accordingly we all can live in peace and harmony. No war ,no murder ,or hatred. But its far far away. Why Minister has released so much money for touristic purpose and no money to build hospitals and repair houses lost in floods ?

Karnatkaa CM is good actor like PM. Bommai is not faithful to all the religions of the state and is sympathising one community only. 3 innocents were killed in the state due to political issue and CM has visited family of one person only as he 9is Hindu and CM did not care to visit the family of other 2 slain people as they belong to other community. Is this your faith and religion Bommai. Why are you acting to be religions. Has your religion taught you to neglect and disrespect dead people from other religion. Is this the lesson you obtained from Hanuman. If Hanuman is born in this place please provide name of his parents and date of birth too. You are just acting to be devotee only to appease majority.

When the whole state is suffering with numerous economic and social problems, politicians are busy with determining the birth place of Gods. Hey mere Prabhu Deva give this people some wisdom to know that you are universal and omnipotent without beginning and end.

All are Indians and people vote for their political leaders, then why 100's crores sanctioned to only Hindu Gods and touristic places. Even other minorities too deserve such generous funds. They too pay GST and other types of taxes. Stop discriminating on religion basis. otherwise introduce taxes to on the basis of peoples religion.

Though I am a non believer of any religion, I respect the feelings of the faithful... Live and let live must be the human principle... Chief Minister is human too... But at the same time he must be impartial to all the people in the society irrespective of their individual faiths... No human born before or may be anytime in the future has or will experience a split second after death... But life has to be led in acceptance and affection...

We heard of Manu continously from certain ideology only. It is not a sacred book it was a legal text and constitution of olden times. when times changes so will the man made laws. We never said ones life is to be emulated forever because that person how so ever great he is is will be living under customs of those days. Law of books that are rigid in ideas never change with times.
