Udupi, Sep 11: Two persons were rescued by the lifeguards at Malpe beach from drowning. The two of the tourists are identified as Sagar and Avinash from Sakleshpur.

Both of them had gone too very far away from the shore defying the warning by the lifeguards. When they were about to get washed away with the wave, the lifeguards immediately swung into action and rescued them.

Due to the cyclonic effect, the sea is a bit rough for a few days. As it is a weekend, a large number of tourists are coming to visit beaches in Udupi district.
