Sullia/Mangaluru, Sep 12: Police arrested the accused who is alleged to have threatened a Hindu worker with life.
Abdul Safreez (21), younger brother of Shafeeq Bellare, one of the accused in Praveen Nettaru murder case, is the arrested accused.
A complaint was filed in Bellare police station accusing Safreez of abusing and threatening with life Hindu worker Prashant Rai of Bellare.
Police arrested Safreez in Mangaluru. It is learnt that he is released on bail.
In the meantime, Sudarshan Moodbidri, Dakshina Kannada district BJP president condemned the telephonic threat on Prashant Rai by SDPI worker. He said, “The police department has to take suitable action in this regard and monitor SDPI closely. Its true colour of creating chaos in country through religious blindness is being unveiled through NIA investigation. It is confirmed that SDPI leaders are involved in various acts of treachery and riots in various parts of the country.”
