Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 13: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, September 13, reported eleven new coronavirus cases while three cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,36,887, out of which 66 are currently active. As many as 19 patients were discharged on September 13.

No deaths were reported on September 13. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,860.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.26 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three coronavirus cases were reported on September 13. The total active Covid cases are 41.

A total of 10,90,568 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,84,680 have received both doses and 2,65,072 people have received booster doses.

Udupi taluk reported two cases while one infection was from Karkala taluk. All three cases reported were symptomatic.
