Kasargod: Private Bus Turns Turtle at Parappa - 1 Dies, 35 Injured

Kasargod, Feb 3: A cleaner of a private bus died and 35 passengers were injured when bus turned turtle in the midst of road at Parappa, near here at around 9.30 am on Friday February 3.
The deceased has been identified as Eshwar Naik(35), a resident of Beejadakatte – Kinningar, in Nettanige gram panchayat.
The critically are Parappa forest guard Chandran(34), forester Vasu(35), a native of Kannur and Narasimha Naik(35), a resident of Delampady, who were all admitted to Chengala Co-operative Hospital, here.
The other injured include Leelavati, Saraswati, Raja, Gangdar, Raghav, Bhagi, Priya, Suprita, Bhagi, Safana, Ashraf, Madhuri Devi, Shivaprasad, Kamala, Balakrishna, Latif, Zubair, Abdul Sattar, Ayesha B, Soudha, Bhaskar, Vinay Kumar, Jalaja, Mayila, Sunita, Kamalaksha, Arun Kumar, Suma S and others who are admitted at a private hospital in Sullia.
The private bus was plying from Sullia to Kasargod. While at Parappa steep curve when the bus driver tried to maneuver the bus to an oncoming jeep; he lost control of his bus and turned turtle in the middle of road. The cleaner Eshwar Naik breathed his last instantly.
The locals and policemen of Adoor station rushed to help the injured passengers to take them to the hospital.
