Bantwal, Dec 22: Traffic on the Panemangaluru old iron bridge was disrupted for over an hour on Saturday morning after a Tata Ace pickup truck got stuck in the iron guard railings installed to prevent heavy vehicles from using the dilapidated bridge.
Despite restrictions, the driver of the pickup truck attempted to force the vehicle through the guard. The vehicle's front portion was lifted as it became stuck, causing a significant traffic jam.
It was reported that some goods vehicle drivers had previously elevated the middle portion of the guard railings to bypass the restriction. The Tata Ace driver, assuming his vehicle could pass, ended up blocking the bridge.
After considerable effort, the vehicle was eventually freed from the iron guard, and traffic was restored.

Sun, Dec 22 2024Good example of violating of safety barrier by the driver? Authorities must seize the vehicle and fine him a hefty amount so that next time he don't dare to violate the barrier/traffic rules.
