M'luru: Murder attempt - man sentenced to six months imprisonment

Mangaluru, Jul 24: The chief district and sessions court here has found a person facing murder attempt charges guilty of the charges and sentneced him to six months imprisonment. 

Karunakar Shetty (43) from Mundavu House in Muchchoor was facing the charges of attempting to kill Vinoda Shetty. He allegedly hit and injured Vinoda on March 29, 2014. Bajpe police had registered murder attempt case against him and filed charge sheet in the court. 

The court, which pronounced the verdict on Saturday July 23, also imposed fine of Rs 40,000 on him. Out of the fine, Rs 35,000 has been ordered to be disbursed to Vinoda as compensation.
