Bengaluru: Journalist Hemant Kumar arrested for forging document

Bengaluru, Apr 28: Crime Investigation Department (CID) police arrested one more journalist in the case of creating duplicate letter in the name of home minister M B Patil with regards to the issue of forming separate Lingayat religion.

Journalist Hemant Kumar is the person who was arrested by the CID police on Saturday, April 27. The CID police had arrested Mahesh Vikram Hegde, editor of web portal Postcard on the accusation of publishing the duplicate letter that was supposedly written by home minister M B Patil to the Congress leader Sonia Gandhi.

The police arrested journalist S A Hemant Kumar based on the information provided by accused Mahesh during the investigation and produced him to the court. The court has given the accused to the custody of the police till April 30.
