Kasargod, Aug 18: In a macabre incident reported from Naykap near Kumble in the district during late night hours on Monday August 17, a youth was hacked to death. The victim has been identified as Harish (38) from Naykap.

Harish was found lying in a pool of blood on the road about a hundred metres away from his home. A pedestrian who noticed him, immediately passed on information to the Kumble police. The police took the critically injured Harish to Kumble hospital and then to a private hospital here, but Harish's life could not be saved.

Harish had been working for an oil mill, Bhagavathi Mill, at Naykap since the past 15 years. He was returning home after duty hours when he was attacked by unknown persons. The police said that grievous injuries he received in his neck and head regions caused Harish's death. The police believe this to be a murder backed by personal enmity. They are also exploring the possibility of any other angle to this murder.

The police have clarified that so far they have not been able to identify the murderers or collect any clinching clues. They have taken up investigation in all earnestness.

I don't know why KBR and Cynthia get so excited to hear news from Kasaragod everytime. Equal number of crimes happen in Udupi and DK, but they want to show fingers to Kasaragod and make fun.

You guys have become prey of a propaganda where a place is being shown in low light because it has different political ideology.

Not only they have different political ideology... you got different cultural and behavioral ideology too. All the gold smugglers caught in Mangalore airport are from Kasaragod or from Bhatkal who share your ideology!!!!
