Mangalore: Mata Amritanandamayi to Visit City on May 1, 2

Mangalore, Apr 22: Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, also known as Amma, will be in the city for two days to bless her devotees and also to participate in meditation programmes along with bhajan programmes and puja rituals at ‘Amrita Vidyalayam’ in Boloor, on May 1 and May 2.
Speaking at a press meet on Friday April 22, Dr Jeevaraj Sorake, president of Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi, said that Amma will bless the devotees at a programme, Amrita Sangama-2011, which comprise four different programmes.
Amrita Sangama -2011 as part of Brahmastana Mahostava at the Brahmastana temple here will be followed by several rituals such as Udayastamana puja, Samoohika Shree Lalitha Sahasranamarchane, Rahudosha nivarana puja, Shanidosha Nivarana Puja, informed Dr Sorake.
In the two-day programme, Amma will hold meditation programme and bhajans. The token holders will have the privilege of being blessed by a hug from Amma, they can get Darshana of Amma, he said and added as many as 50,000 devotees are expected to participate. Both the days ‘Sarvajanika Anna Santharpane’ will be organized. With the help of RTO and district bus owners, transport facility will be made available to the venue.
Members of the reception committee and Brahmastanam Mahostava Samithi Vishwanath Puthran and Madhav Suvarna among others were present.
