Udupi, Sep 27: Tapovana Life space Pvt Ltd an emporium for Indian art forms is launching 'Parampara', a platform for Lalita Kala where art, artist and aesthete meet. Parampara aims to preserve and promote India's heritage.
Speaking about the new course and the institution Dr Satyajit Kadakoda, CEO of Tapovana said, "Tapovana's motto is to put all gems of Lalita Kala under one roof. Such as Yakshagana, Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music, Theatre as well as eighteen verses of Bhagavad Geeta recitation with meaning. We are moving towards modernised societies but we have forgotten our roots from history. Tapovana helps to introduce the new generation with ancient art and craft. We have preserved thousands of antique pieces In this institution,” he said.
The courses will begin from October 10.
Yakshagana, Theatre, Bhagvad geeta,, Bharatnatyam, and classical Carnatic music courses will be conducted for enthusiasts. There is no age limit for the aspirants, said Mythri Upadhyaya, project head.
Yakshagana will be taught by Sujendra Hande. Theatre course will be under the guidance of Revati Nadgir, Bharatanatyam classes by Vidushi Dhanyashree Prabhu, Bhagavad Geeta by Dr S Ananda Teertha, and Classical Carnatic music course will be taught by Chinmayee S Dixith.
Revathi Nadgir, vice principal directors of the institution Udupi Venkatesh Shet, Ratilal Patel and Jayathilal Patel were present on the occasion.
