Udupi: Fisherman dies after accidentally falling into sea

Udupi, Oct 8: A fishermen died as he accidentally slipped from the boat at second T jetty of Malpe fishing port. The mishap occurred on the Friday October 7.

The deceased is identified as Ramesh Kotian (75), a resident of Hejamady Kodi. He was working as labourer in Guru Raghavendra boat. He went from home to work at 4 am and the incident occurred at 5.30 am when the boat was about to leave the anchorage.

His mortal remains were found at 7.30 am at the port and was brought to surface by diving expert Eshwar Malpe.

A case is registered in Malpe police station.
