Oct 8: Dakshina Kannada reports two Covid cases, 3 infections in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 8: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, October 8, reported two new coronavirus cases while three cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,078, out of which 24 are currently active. As many as 8 patients were discharged on October 8.

No deaths were reported on October 7. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,860.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.36 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three coronavirus cases were reported on October 8. The total active Covid cases are 14.

A total of 10,90,762 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,435 have received both doses and 2,92,788 people have received booster doses.

Udupi taluk reported three cases and they were symptomatic.
