Mangaluru: 65-year-old coolie worker murdered, accused arrested

Mangaluru, Oct 12: A 65-year-old man was found murdered at Haripadav on Tuesday October 11.

The deceased is identified as Jayanand Acharya (65) from Mandarabail. He was working as a coolie.

The accused arrested is Rajesh Poojary (31) from Kunjathbail. He was working in bar.

Police sources said that Rajesh picked Jayanand from Lalbagh area for a sexual favour for Rs 300. Later, when the accused refused to pay, Rajesh killed Jayanand.

Rajesh was arrested and sent to judicial custody. A case under IPC 302 and 377 is filed.
