Mangaluru, Oct 12: A 33-year-old CISF lady sub inspector attempted to end her life by shooting herself on Wednesday October 12 near NMPT gate.

Jyothi Bai hailing from Bharathpur district in Rajasthan, who is working as CISF sub inspector at NMPT, is the officer who is hospitalised.

In a note left behind, Jyothi has stated that the reason behind her attempt to take the extreme step was a family dispute. She is married to Ombeer Singh Parmar who is working as an assistant commandant in MRPL.

Jyothi was shifted to AJ Hospital.

    I am sure it is not the truth.She must have had problems at work place.If she had issue with husband or family would have gone different.Many women have problems in Police dpt.with chief or collegues.She must be not giving out because of reputation ?Hope she will get well soon and reveal to some confidential person and change her profession if unhappy.

    If a CISF person wants to kill themselves with their licensed weapon, they will shoot to kill only, not be hospitalized. I suppose madam wants to get a transfer, quickly and this is the best way to do it. If the husband is a problem, then divorce is the best.
