New Delhi, May 3 (IANS): She is just 10 and is a popular face on television. Winner of "Chhote Miyan", Saloni Daini spends her spare time in studios working hard for TV shows and says at times she misses the fun part of childhood.
"I enjoy doing the work that I do thoroughly. I love to act and be on stage. But at times I do miss the fun of childhood. I work, I study and I try to have fun on sets too," Saloni told IANS on phone from Mumbai.
Saloni, better known as Gangubai, a fictitious character she often plays in her comedy acts, first faced the camera at the age of three. She shot to fame after winning "Chhote Miyan", a comedy reality show on Colors in 2009.
After tickling the funny bones with her comic timing and hosting a dance reality show"Chak Dhoom Dhoom", she is now lending her voice for Disney's animation series "Fish Hook".
"I am loving the new experience, it is a lot of fun to dub in the studio with headphones and mike in hand. I am enjoying myself playing Clamantha in 'Fish Hooks'. I like Clamantha very much. She makes me laugh. She is an over enthusiastic character in the shows," she added.
"Fish Hook", created by famous children's book illustrator and author Noah Z. Jones, is set inside a giant fish tank in Bud's Pet Shop and revolves around three fish.
The show will air every Saturday at 11 a.m. on Disney channel.
In her free time, Saloni loves to play video games, cycling and swimming .
But Saloni, when do you study?
"I study two hours everyday. Mummy makes it a point to teach me everyday. I am a very good student. I got 92 percent in my fourth standard," she said shyly.
Saloni, who made her debut in Bollywood in Anees Bazmee's "No Problem", wants to do more films.
"I want to do a lot of acting - want to do more films. I want to do a film with my favourite actor Hrithik Roshan," she said.
