Mangaluru: Police raid residences of SDPI, PFI activists

Mangaluru, Oct 13: Mangaluru City Police raided residences of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and banned Popular Front of India (PFI) activists on Thursday October 13.

Mangaluru city police conducted raids in Panambur, Surathkal, Ullal, and other places. It is said that police have detained a few PFI activists.

The raids were conducted under the guidance of police commissioner N Shashi Kumar.

The police also carried out a raid on the residence of SDPI district president Aboobakar Kulai in Kulai.

Police have booked cases under the UAPA act, it is learnt.
