Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SS)

Mangaluru, Oct 19: Bhargavi (14), the girl from Bengaluru who had gone missing from Mangaluru has been found in Goa, it is learnt.

Bhargavi had gone missing from Bengaluru after reaching Mangaluru KSRTC bus station at 3 am on Monday.

Meanwhile, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath has, in his Facebook wall, thanked the people for their prayers and expressed relief that the 14-year-old Bhargavi had been found in Goa and was at the Panaji police station.

Further, in his post, he has requested people to cross verify and enquire why a young girl of her age was travelling at the unearthly hour of 3 am and was found speaking to auto drivers at the Mangaluru KSRTC bus station as per the CCTV footage.

"Let this be a social responsibility. Any point of time it is our responsibility to check why a child is roaming around without any guardians," he wrote in his Facebook post.

The MLA has also urged people to call 112 and file a complaint if they find or have any doubts in such circumstances.

Vedavyas Kamath said he could not imagine what Bhargavi's parents were going through. He said the ending had been a relief while thanking each and everyone who shared the news regarding her whereabouts.

The complete fault lies with the parents of this girl, in spite the girl has travelled alone from Bangalore to Mangalore and then to Goa. This is a clear cut case of running away from home. 14 years age very delicate age for the girls. Might be the home of this girl is a hell to her or might be both parents are always fighting, no peace in her house. Thanks to good people prayers and she has been traced in Goa. Bhargavi, requires counselling and both of her parents unitedly, boost her morale.

All this confusion could have been avoided only if the KSRTC bus conductor questioned Bhargavi about her care taker in the bus, OR a letter from her parents stating she is travelling with their knowledge and at destination who is going to come and pick her. Currently we have BETI BACHAVO BETI PADAVO government, why they can not make a law , No minor can travel in any mode of transport without their care taker or their authorization. and upon arrival at the destination they must go to the transporters office and they can be picked up only after showing their photo ID by their relatives or friends. If this was there, Bhargavi would not have boarded the KSRTC bus at all.

Now the heartbeats of Parents must have turned to normal or reduced one.We too are now thank God she is safe.Just at present Parents must console her and take her in arm for not performing any other thing than only to go out and brought herself in danger.Dont scold or for not getting less marks .Everybody cant be a genie .She might have another talent than others.Be a good girl and never again make your parents so anguish and put them in heartbreaking situation.Everyone makes once in life mistake which makes him or her later wise .God bless you dear. She had a really good Guardian angel with her.

How and from where she got guts to take extreme steps to move around place to place. Possible that she was helped or misguided young teen. Thankfully safe and rest parents duty to coonsole her, advise her instead of abusing or threaten her tocome terms. Hope worse is over.

Once thing is very clear., the face reading gives a confident, courageous, bold & intelligent personality.., what made her rebellious shouldn't be a subject matter of common man & relatives discussion (Mangaloreans are habituated to gossiping, irrespective cast/color & creed)., it is time to forgive & forget and mentor her towards her studies & futures so that she can bring glory & honor to her parents/family members/teachers...!!! I am pretty sure & be optimist that she over come this incident..., Let us pray that God bless her abundantly in her future endeavor..,

I wonder what the cops at the KSRTC bus stand were doing seeing an unaccompanied young girl? Also, the conductor of the bus should have questioned her regarding who was escorting her before issuing/checking the ticket! Lastly, the auto driver should have suspected something wrong and not have taken a single minor girl on such a long drive in the dark hours; instead taken her to the nearest police station or called the helpline number!! All three checkpoints failed for whatever reason! Hope she is safe!!

How come this avoidable unfortunate incident happened? Wasn't her aunt informed about the girl's arrival? She (aunt) could have sent a known auto driver to pick her.

That is enough to understand that her aunt's house should be close to the bus depo. Lone teen aged girl toured Mukka beach and Kadri park and comes back to the bus depo safe! She should be safe somewhere.

Its not the child who needs to be punished. Nowadays parents are in a race either to make money or yo make their child no. 1 in everything. Pressuresing children should be stopped. Learn to accept your children as they are. All children are flawless it us who influence them to do drastic things. Own up your doings, be kind to your children. Dont let them become adults soon, nurture them, love them. Let them be.
