Udupi: Jana Sankalpa Yatra by BJP in Byndoor, Kaup on November 16, 17

Udupi, Oct. 19: The BJP's ambitious Jana Sankalpa Yatra will be held in Byndoor and Kaup assembly constituencies on November 16 and 17 . It will be held under the leadership of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai and B S Yediyurappa, former chief minister, said Kuyiladi Suresh Naik, president, Udupi District BJP.

Concerning this, Kuyiladi Suresh Naik presided over the district working team meeting held at the district BJP office on Wednesday.

"On October 29, a district executive meeting will be held. A meeting of power centers was also held in all the mandalas of the district. We are going to hold continuous meetings once every two months in 242 power centers of the district. In all, 1,111 booth meetings will be held by district and mandal level leaders in November to organize the party more effectively.

K Udaya Kumar Shetty, in-charge of BJP Mangaluru division, president of Mysore Electrical Industries said, "The Jan Sankalp Yatra is going on under the leadership of three teams across the state. The party workers called upon the BJP candidates to win the five constituencies of the district with a strong organization of empowered booths and by popularizing the various welfare schemes of the central and state governments and delivering the benefits to the deserving beneficiaries."

Tribute was paid to Satish Prabhu Shiroor, a senior party leader and Shiroor Shaktikendra president, who died in an electrical accident.

Kutyaru Naveen Shetty, BJP district general secretary gave information about the empowerment booth. Manohar S Kalmadi, S C Morcha, district general secretary, Dinakara Babu, S T Morcha, state general secretary and Umesh Naik, state secretary were present. Sadananda Uppinakudru, district general secretary compered and proposed a vote of thanks.
