Mangaluru: KSRTC to operate pilgrimage tour package for Deepavali

Mangaluru, Oct 21: KSRTC of Mangaluru has organised a 10-day pilgrimage tour for Deepavali from October 21 to 31.

Separate tour packages have been announced from Mangaluru, Udupi and Kundapur bus stations. The one day tours will have a guide in addition to the driver.

From Mangaluru, package tour will take pilgrims to Madikeri via Puttur and Sullia. The bus will leave Mangaluru at 7 am and reach Madikeri at 11 am. It will cover Rajaseat, Abbi Falls, Nisargadhama, golden temple and Harangi dam and return to Mangaluru at 9.30 pm.

Boarding is allowed from B C Road, Kalladka, Mani, Kabaka, Puttur and Sullia also for those who have done advanced booking. The tickets are priced at Rs 500 for adults and Rs 450 for children.

In another package, the bus will leave from Mangaluru at 8 am and take pilgrims to Kadri temple, Panemangaluru Nandavara temple, Ujire Surya temple, Kanyadi Ram Mandir, Dharmasthala, Southadka temple, Uppinangady Sahasralingeshwara temple, Puttur Mahalingeshwara temple and Vittal Panchalingeshwara temple. The tickets are priced at Rs 400 for adults and Rs 350 for children.

There is also a package tour to Kollur from Mangaluru which is priced at Rs 450 and 400. The bus will leave the city at 8 am and go to Maranakatte, Kollur, Kamalashile and Ucchila temples and return to Mangaluru in the night.

In the Mangaluru-Puttur package, pilgrims will be taken to Vittal Panchalingeshwara temple, Mrityunjeshwara temple, Umamaheshwara temple, Mahalingeshwara temple, Gejjegiri Koti Chennaya Sthana and Hanumagiri. Tickets are priced at Rs 300 and 250 for children.

From Mangaluru, bus will leave at 8 am and take pilgrims to Mangaladevi, Polali, Kateel, Ucchila, Bappanadu, Sasihitlu and Mariyamma temple. Tickets are priced at Rs 300 for adults and 250.

From Udupi, the bus will leave at 8 am and go to Perdoor, Varanga Jain Basadi, Horanadu Annapoorneshwari temple, Shringeri temple and Agumbe Sun point and return to Udupi at 6.30 pm. The tickets are priced at Rs 400 and Rs 350 for children.

Bus will leave from Udupi at 8.30 am and take pilgrims to Hiriyadka temple, Karkala Ananthashayana temple, Gomateshwara shrine, Thousand Pillar Basadi of Moodbidri, Kodyadka Annapoorneshwari temple. Salumara Timmakka garden at Manipal, Kaup lighthouse, beach and Padukere beach road. The tickets are priced at Rs 350 and 300 for children.

From Kundapur, the bus will leave at 8 am and go to Hattiangadi temple, Saukuru temple, Shankaranarayana temple, Kamalashile temple, Kollur, Byndoor and Murudeshwara. Tickets are priced at Rs 400 for adults and 350 for children.

In another package tour from Kundapur, the bus will leave at 8 am and take pilgrims to Kotilingeshwara, Kumbashi, Anegudde, Kota temple, Saligrama, Mandarti, Kamalashile, Kollur, Byndoor, Someshwar temple and Beach. Tickets are priced at Rs 350 and 300 for adults and children respectively.
