Mangaluru: Daivaradhane is part, parcel of Hindu religion - Dayanand Kathalsar

Mangaluru, Oct 21: " Daivaradhane and the worshippers of Daivas are part and parcel of Hindu religion. Attempts are been made to separate us from the mainstream of Hindu religion. The person who made statements against Hindu religion should apologise for this. If not, we will fight legally," said Dayanand G Kathalsar, immediate past president of Pambadara Yane Daivaradkara Seva Samaja Sangha.

He was speaking to journalists at the press club here on Friday, October 21.

"In coastal areas there are 16 different classes who are involved in Daivaradhane. All the people from different classes involve themselves in the process of Daivaradhane. But, they all are not economically stable. Giving statements without knowing completely about Daivaradhane is unfair. There is a strategy behind this. We condemn this," he added.

"Daivaradhane will be done in presence of 16 classes. Every Tuluvas will involve in Daivaradhane. No one should hurt the regional sentiments. The person who gave the statement should withdraw his statement," Kathalsar demanded.

"Scheduled castes are part of the Hindu religion. We are part of the Hindu religion. Attempts are being made to separate us from the mainstream of Hindu religion," he alleged.

People from all communities will involve in Daivaradhane. Even people from different faiths are also joining Daivaradhane, he said.

It is really happy that the state government has announced a monthly pension of Rs 2000 for the Daiva Narthakas, he said.

But, the Daivardhane is being done by 16 different classes from Hindu religion. Pension should be extended to the remaining communities too.

He also demanded that government should reduce the age limit from 60 to 55 years for availing the pension. He also added that few people are drawing pension in the above mentioned age groups as there is a technical problem while receiving the pension amount.

Dr Ravish Parava Padumale, convener of Parava Sangha DK and Panduranga Nalik president of Nalike Samaja Unit were present.

Looks like whole nation is lost in religious differences, Castes, sub Castes, Tribes, upper castes vs lower Castes forgetting all are humans, Gods and deities, beliefs, food, dress and whose & which Gods are powerful. All these developments are since last eight years and for millenniums there were no issues and everything is peaceful. None is worried about poverty, hunger, healthcare, education, employment, inflation, and so on.....on.....!!!! All misplaced priorities......????????

Daivaradhane is "spirit worship"... this is more widespread in the world than Hinduism... Spirit worship is found widely in Africa and far east especially Mongolia... wider name for this form of worship is "Shamanism"...

INSTEAD OF PLAYING POLITICS ----- VESTED INTERESTS -------- ------------------------------------------------- SWAMI VIVEKANANDA HAS EXPLAINED WELL ---------- AS PER THIS PASSAGE--------------- “If a man or woman can realize his/ her divine nature with the help of an image, would it be right to call that a sin? Nor, even when he has passed that stage, should he call it an error. [...] man is not traveling from error to truth, but from truth to truth, from lower to higher truth. To him all the religions from the lowest fetishism to the highest absolutism, mean so many attempts of the human soul to grasp and realize the Infinite, each determined by the conditions of its birth and association, and each of these marks a stage of progress; and every soul is a young eagle soaring higher and higher, gathering more and more strength till it reaches the Glorious Sun.”

One who follows the Hindu culture is a Hindu irrespective of his/her faith.. We were taught that Hinduism is not a religion but the way of life. Aryans migrated to India and joined the mainstream. Daivaradane, the beautiful ancient culture of India should be celebrated in a grand scale like Ganeshothava. Bye the way, the Govt pension is too less. It should be raised to meet the living expenses.
