Bantwal: Truck carrying LPG cylinders collides with pickup, driver injured

Bantwal, Oct 23: The driver of a pickup vehicle was injured and escaped miraculously in an accident that occurred between his vehicle and a truck at Punjalakatte Sri Rama Nagara on the evening of Saturday, October 22.

Raghavendra, a resident of Maddadka and driver of the pickup is admitted to a hospital. The truck was approaching from Ujire carrying cooking gas cylinders while the pickup was moving towards Punjalakatte.

On the same spot, one person had died on October 18 in an accident between a pickup and a truck.

Repeated accidents are occurring on this national highway which has become a cause of concern to the public. The accident has been captured in a nearby CCTV camera and has gone viral on social media.

    This is when average speed of vehicle on our highways is yet to reach international levels. What will happen when the average speed goes 2 notches up? Drivers are being more and more brazen with their conduct on the road unfortunately. It is not license issue, but attitude issue.

    this is INdia my friend...everywhere corruption...licences are issued without test...so there is no question of BAC test...in fact no one will know it...sab chalta hai attitude
