Oct 24: Dakshina Kannada, Udupi report one covid-19 case each

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 24: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on Monday, October 24, reported one new coronavirus case each.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,146, out of which 26 are currently active. As many as five patients was discharged on October 24.

No deaths were reported on October 24. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.63 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One coronavirus case was reported on October 24. The total active Covid cases are 19.

A total of 10,90,802 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,963 have received both doses and 2,97,032 people have received booster doses.
