Kasargod: 53-year-old labourer falls to death from coconut tree

Kasargod, Oct 25: A labourer died as he fell from a coconut tree at Kukkila near Bedrampalla under Enmakaje panchayat limits.

The deceased is identified as Krishna Naika (53). Naika fell from the tree on Sunday October 23 afternoon, while plucking coconuts. He was taken to Kasargod general hospital and later shifted to Periyaram Medical College. However, he succumbed late in the evening on Sunday.

Naika was the sole bread winner of the poor family. He is survived by wife Janaki and children Yogish, Ashivtha, Tanvita and sister Pushpa.

    destiny is sometimes very cruel...strikes the poorest....may his soul rest in peace..i am sure the bd, vhp etc will never even turn their head towards the poor family of this man...
