Mangaluru, Oct 26: A man realised he was taken for a ride as he received a stone and some e-waste instead of a gaming laptop he had ordered.
Chinmaya Ramana, a resident of the city, had ordered a laptop from a very popular e-commerce website. He had booked a gaming laptop which has more ram capacity and memory than the ordinary laptops. They also have high power processors. Chinmaya had ordered for an Acer company gaming laptop. After paying the price online, he was waiting for his product.
Within a few days of placing the order and making payment, Chinmaya received a box from the e-commerce company. However, he was shocked to get only a stone and some e-waste. He immediately called the e-commerce website and explained his ordeal.
The organization, which was immediately alert, refunded the full amount to Chinmay. However, his need for gaming laptop was not addressed. Chinmaya has shared his ordeal on Twitter.
