First PU student from Beltangady dies of illness in Mangaluru hospital

Beltangady, Oct 28: A I PUC student died of illness in a private hospital in Mangaluru on Wednesday, October 26.

The student is identified as Ankita (17), a resident of Ashoknivasa in Gundoori village. Ankita was studying I PUC at the Venoor Government Pre-University College in the commerce section.

Ankita, daughter of Ashok Poojary and Prathima Poojary, was suffering from illness for the last few days, it is learnt. She was admitted to a private hospital in Beltangady but she could not recover. She was then shifted to another private hospital in Mangaluru on October 22 where her treatment was continued but she did not respond to the treatment and breathed her last.

Ankita, who was said to be a bright student, is survived by her parents, a brother and a sister.
