Mangaluru: Aam Aadmi Party’s padayatra, office inauguration, public meeting on Nov 1

Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 28: The district unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will inaugurate its office on November 1. AAP will also hold a padayatra prior to the inauguration and a public meeting on the same day.

The district unit of AAP held a press meet and gave the details on Friday October 28.

“We are pleased to inform you that our well-wisher, NRI Michael D’Souza has offered us an office space at Souza Aracade, Ambedkar Circle (Jyothi Circle), and the same will be inaugurated on Rajyotsava Day Tuesday November 1 at 4.30 pm. AAP state president Prithvi Reddy, central committee member Ashok Adamale, and state joint secretary Vivekananda Salins will also grace the function.

“Prior to the inauguration function, a massive padayatra will be held from Pumpwell circle to the office premises at Ambedkar Circle at 3 pm. Thousands of AAP karyakartas will walk along with the state and district leaders to the new office of AAP at Souza Arcade, Ambedkar Circle.

“After the inauguration of the office, a public meeting will be held at 5.15 pm at Don Bosco Hall. Prithvi Reddy, AAP Karnataka president Santosh Kamath, district president, guest of honour Michael D'Souza and others will address the audience. Prior to the stage programme, an orchestra will sing Kannada songs to mark the 66th Karnataka Rajyotsava.

“The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has established a strong foothold in Delhi and Punjab and is garnering decent support in the adjacent states. Under the dynamic leadership of our national convenor and chief minister of Delhi Aravind Kejriwal, AAP is now aiming to expand its presence across the country and in that respect the party is looking forward to do well in Himachal and Gujarat too. All the indicators show that the wind is blowing towards AAP.

“In Karnataka, under the leadership of state president Prithvi Reddy, the party has started a unique programme called 'Gram Sampark Abhiyaan', which aims to expand the network of the organisation from the grassroots. The response is very good and lot of people are joining Aam Aadmi Party especially in rural areas.

“AAP has also put in place 10 frontal organisations, including wings of women, youth, OBC, SC/ST, traders, farmers and professionals in the state. We are on a membership drive, enrolling as many people as possible showing the good work that we have done in Delhi and Punjab.

“We will definitely make an impact which is evident from the attacks we receive from the other parties. Our aim is to put up a good candidate in every constituency. We are a new party and we have got to go a long way. As long as we are in the right direction, even if we are going slowly we are sure we will achieve the goal,” the AAP representatives said.

Santosh Kamath, president, AAP, Dakshina Kannada, Venkatesh N Baliga, media coordinator, Desmond D’Souza, joint secretary, AAP leaders James D’Sa and Sandeep Shetty were present.

Kejriwal has no regard to secularism and the Constitution of India with his statement of seeking divine help to improve the economy by printing goddess Lakshmi's and Ganesha's pictures on currency notes. Is that the IQ of a IITian? He boasts of giving education to Delhi students and making them think rationally but he does the opposite just to gain power. I held AAP and Kejriwal in high regard but with each passing day they are turning out to be the opposite of what they preach just to gain power.

Looks like AAP Mangalore has enough talent already to replace the likes of Sissodia, Satyender Jain, Anwar Hussain etc etc. The one with White Shirt will surely give Kejri a fight for the top post ! Lool at the intent in his eyes. Very good going. Some years back.. one AAP office was opened here right?? How many times u open an office here?? Were are your Dharmendras, Nandagopal's who were office bearers last time? Vasudeva Rao also 🤔All Gul? Every time.. new office... new office bearers? What's the story? Mangalore Public keeps track of everything. We have Aravinda Bolar here top comedian, your Arvind has become political joker of sorts... You people too want ' Lakshmi Ganesha' on currency notes?
