Oct 28: Dakshina Kannada, Udupi districts reports zero Covid cases

Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 28: Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on Friday, October 28, reported zero new coronavirus.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,148 out of which three are currently active. As many as eight patients were discharged on October 28.

No deaths were reported on October 28. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Zero coronavirus cases were reported on October 28.The total active Covid cases are nine.

A total of 10,90,814 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,981 have received both doses and 2,97,251 people have received booster doses.

Udupi registered two cases while Kundapur added one case and Karkala reported zero.
