Mangaluru: Inauguration, blessing of St Sebastian Auditorium at Permannur on Nov 1

Mangaluru, Oct 29: The inauguration and blessing of the newly constructed St Sebastian Auditorium will be held on November 1 in the premises of St Sebastian Church, Permannur at 4 pm, informed Fr Cyprian Pinto, parish priest of St Sebastian Church, Permannur in a press release.

Renowned physician Dr U C S Bhat will inaugurate and Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore will bless the auditorium.

V Sunil Kumar, minister of Kannada, Culture and Energy Department of Karnataka, in-charge minister of Dakshina Kannada, U T Khader MLA, Mangaluru constituency, deputy leader of the opposition Karnataka Legislative Assembly, and D Vedavyas Kamath, MLA Mangaluru south will solemnize the programme as chief guests.

Sandeep Bhat, architect, Bengaluru, Fr J B Saldanha, parish priest of St Francis Xavier Church Bejai, religious leaders Chandrahas and Haji Rashid, Chitrakala Chandrakanth, president of Ullal City Municipal Council, Ayub Manchila, vice president of Ullal City Municipal Council, Basil D’Souza, councillor, Ullal City Muncipal Council, Veena D’Souza, councillor, Ullal City Municipal Council, Sr Joseph Mary BS, superior, Bethel Convent, Permannur, Sr Alphonsa, superior, Nirmala Convent, Ullal, and Sr Mariette, superior, St Aloysian Home, Someshwar will also be present.

The hall was completed in just 10 months by the hard work of Fr Cyprian Pinto. The hall has a capacity to contain 1000 people which also includes dressing room, toilets, area for food supply, parking and other facilities.

All are cordially welcomed to the programme by the assistant parish priest Steevan Cutinha, Philomena E D’Souza, secretary PPC, Maurice Monteiro, vice president, PPC and Arun D’Souza, media committee.
