Kasargod: Concrete slab of under-construction flyover collapses, one injured

Kasargod, Oct 29: Concrete of under construction flyover that is being built at Periya in order to develop national highway, collapsed on Saturday October 29 injuring a labourer.

It is said that there were five labourers when the mishap took place. The work is carried out during night also. The other four are out of danger.

Preliminary investigation said that unscientific work is the reason for the collapse of concrete. Bekal police have registered case against the company in contract.

PWD minister P A Mohammed Riyaz said that inquiry will be held about the incident and action will be taken once the report is available.

MP Raj Mohan Unnitthan urged to stop the work immediately.

    First arrest PWD inspector for not doing proper inspection work of contactors . Inspections should be carried out before concrete is poured .
