Puttur: Derogatory post against woman KPCC chief secy – Man taken into custody

Puttur, Oct 30: Police have taken into custody a man who wrote derogatory comments against Veena P Bhat, chief woman secretary of KPCC.

Veena P Bhat had filed a complaint with Puttur woman police station about the Facebook post against her.

The comment was posted by Bhaskar Maniyani.

Police took the accused into custody, warned him and had the comment posted on social media deleted.

The accused confessed to his crime and apologised in the presence of the complainant. The issue was amicably resolved.

I agree derogatory comments are wrong, but couldn't understand why victims photo is published instead culprits....any advertisement stunt??

There are some men with low IQ and not educated think so do so about women .He must be so one brought up by parents also so ?There are other with good education also do so.Cant help.May be he was not good to speak about her ?Anyway he said sorry .Hope in future he will not do to others.

It is unfortunate that when people cannot win by sense and sensibility they resort to hit back by derogatory and negatively suggestive remarks when it comes to many women who are doing their bit in the society. It is sad.
