Mangaluru: Surathkal toll gate closure as per law, says Nalin; protestors seek MP’s resignation

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Nov 2: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that all have got the right to protest in democracy and he has no objection to such activity. He also said that Surathkal toll gate will be removed as per legal procedure.

Speaking to the media, Nalin said, “Those who did not seek toll gate closure during the rule of Congress are protesting now. This is purely political gimmick. Why did the same people not ask for toll gate removal when Oscar Fernandes was the union minister?”

Meanwhile, convener of Surathkal toll gate protest committee, Muneer Katipalla sought the MP Nalin’s resignation if the toll gate is not closed within the deadline.

Muneer said, “The toll gate protest committee is a non-political organization, which has been fighting for the closure of Surathkal toll gate since many years. When we tried to gherao the toll gate, MP Nalin asked for 20 days' time. Let him keep his promise. His deadline gets over on November 7. If he is not able to get the toll gate closed, let him resign.”

Muneer spoke to the media on the fifth day of the protest that is taking place in front of Surathkal toll gate. He further said, “Let the chief minister come to Surathkal toll gate and announce that the toll gate will be closed. If not we will resort to black flag protest in coming days.”

Which law he is talking?; Surathkal tollgate was illegal since the opening of Paudbidri Tollgate as per NHAI. Surathkal Tollgate was alternate for Padubidri Tollgate till it complete, once the Padubidri Tollgate was opened Surathkal Tollgate to be closed immediately, why these dramas and why dont you close (it clearly indicates that 40% x60%).

No need to protest simply dont pay the Toll at surathkal simply pass the the toll gate thats all. Mask the FastTag . No body will force you to pay toll since it is elligal post . When something is elligal why we need legal procedure for closing toll collection.

The toll gate installed post 2014., how come Honorable Ex MP Late Shriman Oscarji... has his say on this matter...., the legality of the toll gate is in question.., (it is illegal & there is no question of dealing the matter as per law) Jokaras have their own logic... !!!!! Toll gate itself is void ab initio.., there is no reason to get it questioned by law..., Burner special....

From "within 20 days Toll gate will be closed" TO "will be closed as per Law"!. Wait for a little longer - the great MP's tone will change further and while taking inspiration from his Commander-in-chief, his reply will be will be " Array woh toh Jumla tha Jumla!! Aise kabhi toll gate close hota hai kya.....yeh aapko bhi pat hai, mujhe bhi pata hai?" While the common public will just keep looking at each other & wonder - What the hell just happened!! For heaven's sake, vote wisely next time and keep such incompetent, jumlebaaz public representatives out of the political system.

The readers, general public, educated wise people, please save our country from useless government who throw-out speak and work only towards minority, love jihad, school syllabus which includes non-educational subjects in the fresh minds of our kids who are going to be our future leaders. At this rate even our future generation can never develop their mind. They work like a time pass government who work less as governance and talk more about nonrelated issues. Rise today to ensure better future for tomorrow.

Mr. Kateel, yes, Congress did not close the tollgate, people did not protest against it. But your party came to power promising change; and you had a great opportunity to show that you are different from Congress, but you let go of it. When something is illegal, it is your duty to put an end to it. Passing the buck on Congress amounts not only to cowardice, it also portrays you as supporter of corruption. The solution is as simple as stopping collection of toll right away; dismantling the structure can be done later. But your persistent blaming of Congress and giving lame excuses to terminate the tollgate makes one suspect that you have some ulterior motive. However, by electing this kind of unsuitable representatives we have dug our own grave. Hope we will be wiser during the next assembly and general elections.

Those who did not seek toll gate closure during the rule of Congress are protesting now. This is purely political gimmick. Why did the same people not ask for toll gate removal when Oscar Fernandes was the union minister? Aunty Nalini , that there was not Hejamdy gate for toll .So people is to pay, But after you came within 30 Kms when there were putting another toll gate why didn't you stop?? Next see the construction of Hejamdy toll gate & Surthkal one. Surthkal shows it is a illegal Tool gate
