Mangaluru, Nov 2: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Pruthvi Reddy said, “The husband of deputy mayor Poornima has threatened a resident of central market who explained his plight about water problem in his ward during our programme at Don Bosco hall on November 1.”

Addressing media, Reddy said, “Recently, we held a meeting where we took a certain decision to strengthen our party in the Dakshina Kannada district. We have also opened a web grievance portal where several civic issues came up and few were sorted out. Meanwhile, deputy mayor Poornima’s husband threatened a resident of central market over phone for speaking about water problem in his ward during yesterday’s programme. We will file a complaint over it.”

He further said, “The development in the state is limited only to Bengaluru and it is sinking. Water bodies are encroached to build infrastructure. We will come up with a specific manifesto to all 224 constituencies and we promise to fulfill the same. We all are aware about the 40% commission in the state and our government has proved about 0% commission in Delhi and Punjab.

“In the last 10 years, our party excelled rapidly and we are in power in two states. In the last 40 years, Amit Shah has not visited any school. Now, the pictures of Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visiting a temporary classroom are going viral to divert minds of people. The state government needs to be ashamed for ordering to collect donation of Rs 100 from Karnataka government schools.

“We have reached a situation where a BJP certificate is required to call yourself a Hindu. They are also spreading hatred towards Muslims and Christians. The BJP has no right to speak about Hindus,” said Reddy.

District president Santhosh Kamath said, “We will come up with an agenda of Vision Mangaluru and Vision Dakshina Kannada to reach the public.”

State joint secretary Vivekananda, national executive committee member Ashok Kadamale, and media convenor Venkatesh Baliga were present.
