Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 4: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, November 4, reported two new coronavirus cases while zero cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,166 out of which 11 are currently active. As many as four patients were discharged on November 4.

No deaths were reported on November 4. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.38 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Zero coronavirus cases were reported on November 4.The total active Covid cases are zero.

A total of 10,90,827 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,281 have received both doses and 2,97,692 people have received booster doses.

Udupi, Kundapur and Karkala reported zero cases.
